Project: Identification of the immunological mechanism of action of influenza A virus vaccines based on Matrix protein 2 ectodomain.
- project duration
- 01-JAN-09 – 31-DEC-11
- The protective activity of vaccines based on the conserved ectodomain of M2 (M2e) depends on antibodies directed on antibodies directed against M2e. We will study the role of Fc Receptors, anti-M2e IgG isotypes and the contribution of macrophages and natural killer cells in immune protection by anti-M2e based vaccines.
