Project: Assessment of the contribution of electrical evoked potentials as objective measures for selecting cochlear implantation candidacy and for fitting cochlear implant maps.
01-JAN-02 – 31-DEC-04
- As we see a shift of cochlear implantation from the adult postlingual deaf population towards the young non-verbal pediatric setting (implantation age of 18 months), objective measurement of the electro-neural interface during implantation surgery and later onwards becomes increasingly important. Purpose: Development of a normative database for pre-implantation EABR evaluation - Development of clinically useful algorithms, starting from EABR and T-NRT ECAP data for objective programming of T- and C-levels.
