Project: Atmo-Flor – Preservation technologies to maintain quality throughout the floriculture chain

Abstract

The project aims to develop new preservation technologies to maintain the visual and physiological quality throughout the floriculture chain, going from cuttings or plantlets to the marketable plants. This should allow the Flemish floriculture companies to minimize quality problems (such as botrytis, abortion of flowers or leaves, chlorosis, bad rooting, regrowth and flowering) due to transport and storage. This should also lead to the possibility of prolonging the transport time.
