- Abstract
Het doel van dit ICON-project is het ontwikkelen van nieuwe en robuuste 'structural health monitoring (SHM)' procedures en numerieke instrumenten die op basis van belasting- en conditiebewaking het mogelijk maken om de levensduur van een vloot van gelijkaardige gelaste staalconstructies, zoals spoorbruggen, kraanliggers en offshore windmolen platformenn nauwkeuriger te bepalen. De levensduurbeoordeling is essentieel als beslissingsondersteuning voor het kwantiferen van levensduurverlenging en optimalisatie van voorspellend onderhoud door de industriële partners. Dit zal uiteindelijk leiden tot een aanzienlijke vermindering van de exploitatie- en onderhoudskosten voor spelers in verschillende sectoren.
