Project: Mapping of LPS response modifier genes in spretus.
- project duration
- 01-OCT-01 – 30-SEP-05
- Bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is the principal component of the outer membrane of gram-negative bacteria. LPS is a potent activator of the inflammatory response and LPS is centrally implicated in the pathogenesis of the sepsis syndrome. SPRET/Ei mice are found to be strongly resistant to LPS and we want to map the genes responsible for LPS resistance in SPRET/Ei.
