Project: Identification of Arabidopsis mutants involved in oxidative stress signal transduction and isolation of the mutated genes.

project duration
01-OCT-98 – 30-SEP-02
A common factor during stress in plants is the production of active oxygen species (=oxidative stress). In high concentrations they are phytotoxic but in lower concentrations they act as a messenger for defence responses. The central theme of this project is to identify components involved in oxidative stress signaling, using catalase deficient Arabidopsis thaliana.
