Project: Analysis of the molecular activity of APETALA2 in Petunia hybrida : isolation and characterisation of APETALA2 target genes.
- project duration
- 01-OCT-96 – 30-SEP-00
- Apetala2A is a Petunia homologue of the Arabidopsis Ap2 gene, that has a role in flower development, and that possibly functions as a transcription factor. In this project we want to isolate targetgenes of AP2A and search for their function by inactivation of the targetgenes by transposon insertion mutagenesis or by antisense/cosuppression, to get a better insight in flower development.
