Project: Morphological and molecular characterisation of Lactarius sect. Deliciosi and their ectomycorrhiza

Abstract

The Deliciosi are a group of closely related and probably recently evolved mushrooms with some interesting biotechnological applications. As there exists a lot of confusion on the recognition of the species the goal of this study is to combine morphological and molecular data to draw taxonomic and phylogenetic conclusions. Alkso the symbiotic ectomycorrhizae will be identified and described.
