Project: Identification and characterization of cell cycle proteins interacting with the plant specific cyclin dependent kinase, CDC2bAt, in Arabidopsis thaliana.
- project duration
- 01-JAN-99 – 31-DEC-02
- In all higher eukaryotes cell division is controlled by cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs). In Arabidopsis thaliana two CDKs has been isolated. One CDK, CDC2bAt, contains some unique plant specific characteristics. By the identification and molecular characterization of CDC2bAt-interacting proteins and its substrates, we hope to specify the exact role of CDC2bAt in the process of cell cycle regulation.
