Project: Optical interface for active nanophotonic components: theoretical and experimental study

- In the research project, coupling structures between optical fiber and nanophotonic components in bonded InP-membranes are being designed, fabricated and characterized. Important boundary conditions of these couplers are high efficiency and polarization independence through polarization diversity. These passive membrane structures will be integrated with active functionality. In a first approach, coupling structures will be integrated with wavelength monitors and photodetectors.
