- The goal of this project is to improve the accuracy and the efficiency of CFD-methods for the simulation of 3-D steady compressible and quasi-incompressible flows at high Reynolds numbers. In order to reach an optimal convergence (hence efficiency), preconditioned multigrid methods are being developed. By improving the local preconditioning matrices the accuracy can be increased. Through solution adaptive remeshing techniques the accuracy and efficiency of the solver can be increased even further.
