- Homochiral cyclohexanepolyols are obtained by enantiomeric or enantiotopic differentiation with lipases. The building blockx thus synthesized will be elaborated into compounds with potential biological activity : pseydo-B-D-fructopyranose (a non-nutritive sweetener and precursor of the carba-isostere of the antiepilleptic topiramate) CD- and A-ring fragments for the synthesis of analogues of Vitamin D3 (antileukemic) the oxahydrindene fragment of Avermecin B1a (anthelmintic).
