- The resistance to fire of a separating building element is determined by the thermal insulation of components and the deformation as a consequence of temperature differences. Combustion of selected materials with suitable characteristics in a sandwich panel allows to design for a good performance. A simulation model will be designed in order to predict the behaviour of such panels by calculation in order to assist with the design of the most performant combinations.
