Project: Archaeological and palaeoecological research as part of the land-use planning project of the Grote Nete area
- project duration
- 16-NOV-06 – 15-AUG-07
- This research forms part of an eight months project funded by the Flemish Land Agency. The project aims to reconstruct vegetation and land-use changes during the Holocene through multi-proxy analyses (palaeoecology, geomorphology, archaeology and historical geography) of soil archives from Hechtel-Eksel and Lommel (Limburg, Belgium). The knowledge of past human-vegetation-climate interaction is highlighted.
