Project: Modeling and engineering of microdefect formation during Germanium crystal growth.

- The occurrence of small structural imperfections in germanium wafers, used as substrate for e.g. solar cells, often seems to depend on crystal growth parameters. Modeling the formation of point defects and their interactions should allow to identify the optimal growth conditions for microdefectfree crystals. At the same time, experimental characterization of these defects will be performed.
