Project: Development of a new dietary supplement based on hops: evaluation of the anti-inflammatory activity of hop acids and derivatives

- The anti-inflammatory characteristics of hop acids and derivatives are screened in reporter gene assays using a mouse-derived fibrosarcoma L929sA cell line. Next, the effects of the most active compounds are controlled on the protein level and via NF-kappaB. Also, it is aimed to get insights into the molecular mechanism of the anti-inflammatory activity, while initial in-vivo experiments are planned using a mouse model.
