Alkoxylation reactions of inulin and ...
Project: Alkoxylation reactions of inulin and inulincarbamates. Derivatisation of inulinalkoxylates, with alkyl isocyanates. Properties and applications in non-food industries.
01-SEP-00 – 31-AUG-02
- Inulin, a known reserve carbohydrate of Inula helenum, will be used as substrate for alkoxylation and carbamoylation, in order to synthesize derivates, with potential use in non-food industies, e.g. as surfactants or emulsifiers. Several reaction conditions will be evaluated and various compounds with specific HLB-values, and diverse industrial applications, will be synthesized.
