Project: Development of Hybrid Feature Selection TEchniques for Analaysis of High-Throughput Biological Data

- The objective of the proposed study is the development of novel feature selection techniques for the analysis of high-throughput biological data. The department is presently coordinating an IUAP project Growth and Development of Higher Plants (P5/13). A considerable amount of high-throughput data is presently being generated by the project, including genome-wide transcriptome and proteome profiling. Our aim is to analyze this data with different techniques and methods in order to identify genes and pathways that potentially influence and control plant growth and development.
