Project: Quark correlations in the nucleon: generalized parton distributions in a relativistic constituent quark model

2005-10-01 – 2008-09-30

Abstract

Generalized parton distributions (GPD's) of hadrons provide us with a three-dimensional image of their charge and energy distributions, as caused by the underlying quark/gluon structure. GPD's can be computed within the framework of a consituent-quark model for hadrons. The Lorent-covariant Bethe-Salpeter model, developed in Bonn, is well suited to calculate the GPD's of pions and nucleons.
