Project: Testing the contribution of plant-soil biotic interactions to the homogenization of forest understorey plant communities

project duration
01-OCT-11 – 30-SEP-14
The study of biotic homogenization has become a central topic in ecological research. For forest understorey communities, changes in abiotic conditions or disturbances are cited to cause the homogenization, but plant-soil interactions at the much smaller scale are expected to be important as well. Therefore, we will asses the role of plant-soil feedbacks in the homogenization dynamics of forest understorey communties.
