Project: Interreligious dialogue as an instrument toward gender equality? A case study of multicultural women’s groups and civil activism in Belgium and the Netherlands

2010-02-01 – 2015-12-31

Abstract

The main question is how women’s interreligious and intercultural dialogue in grassroots activism and civil projects in Belgium and the Netherlands can contribute to resolving the tension between gender equality and cultural diversity in liberal secular society. It draws on an empirical study of women’s interfaith meetings employing standpoint epistemology and intersectional theory.
