Project: Understanding Price Transparancy in Food Supply Chains

In the food supply chain, deficiency of price transparancy effects food chain members, consumers and policymakers. This project assesses price transparancy in the food supply chain in Belgium by considering (1) preferences of stakeholders and (2) actual information provision. Further, determinants and effects of price transparancy are investigated. Based on the findings, different scenarios for improving price transparancy are developed.
