Project: Identification of electrically active defects in solar energy materials

abstract
This project aims at identifying defects in absorber layers of solar cells that limit their efficiency. The focus is on thin film solar cells, in particular with CuIn(1-x)Ga(x)Se(2) as absorber. Defects in complete cells and absorber bulk material are characterized via various spectroscopic techniques. The results can help in optimizing materials synthesis processes for this type of solar cells.
