Project: Interactions between ochratoxin A and other food contaminants: a new safety concern

Food safety can adversely be affected by the presence of foodcontaminants. Maximal Residue Levels have been defined to protect the consumer. But the possible additive or synergetic effects between different contaminants occasionally present simultaneously in the diet are not taken into consideration. Therefore, there is a need to improve our knowledge on the possible interaction between these contaminants.
