Abstract

The future of the energy sector in Europe is challenging for policy makers: ambitious renewable energy goals combined with new possibilities of waste-to-energy and power-to-gas applications.
Decisions should be based on a comprehensive assessment including environmental, economic, technical and societal concerns. The aim of this project is therefore to develop and apply an integrated sustainability assessment framework for energy carriers.
