Project: Alleviating oxidative stress effects via innovative gold catalysis for an improved biomass production

- Photorespiration, stimulated by stress conditions in plants, leads to a serious decrease in plant biomass production. This project envisages the development and testing of efficient inhibitors of the photorespiration belonging to the class of the pyrazoles, oxadiazoles and triazoles. These functionalized heterocylic compounds will be synthesized via an inovative gold catalyzed ring closing strategy.
