Project: Soft and flexible technologies for electrical and optical modulation of the epileptic brain.
2022-01-01 – 2025-12-31
- Abstract
Spatial and temporal targeting of dedicated brain regions is indispensable when treating brain disorders like epilepsy. This project develops a technology platform to bring targeted neuromodulation to epilepsy patients. Soft implantable probes will record epileptic activity and trigger a novel form of therapeutic neuromodulation based on light pulse delivery, controlled by a flexible electronic subcutaneous interface patch.
