- DTC has been derived originally for induction machines. Application to synchronous machines was not yet very successful. In order to apply DTC for synchronous machines in a similar way as for induction machines a profound study of the dynamical behaviour of synhcronous machines under DTC is necessary. A second aspect concerns the switching frequency, which is normally not fixed. The project aims to derive a method with fixed switching frequency similar to the DTDTCFSF method derived for induction machines. A third aspect concerns the choice of the voltage vectors. Why only the three adjacent vectors in each sector are used has not yet been studied thoroughly. The project aims to derive the optimal choice of the voltage vectors for synchronous machines.
