- This project aims to examine the applicabiliy of minor differences in the development of left and right sides of bilateral symmetrical traits (so-called fluctuating asymmetry, FA) as bio-indicator for negative effects of inbreeding due to temperatre and tropical habitat fragmentation. Two related butterfly species, Pararge aegeria (common European species) en Cymothoe teita (threatened Kenyan endemic) act as ecological model species.
