Project: Evolutionary ecological study of environmental stress effects on passive dispersal
- project duration
- 01-OCT-05 – 30-SEP-09
- This research studies the influence of local adaptation to heavy metal pollution on dispersal activity of Pirata piraticus (Lycosidae). This issue is of particular biological relevance because of the strong influence of dipersion on ecological and evolutionary processes. To test the hypothesis, lab and field experiments will be conducted, taking into account genetic factors and maternal effects.
