Project: Analysis of choroid plexus-mediated extracellular vesicle production during healthy aging and Alzheimer’s disease.
01/10/14 – 30/09/16
The choroid plexus epithelium (CPE) is a unique single layer of epithelial cells situated at the interface between blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). We recently identified an important role for CPE-derived extracellular vesicles that are taken up by brain cells. Here, we will study their role in the pathophysiology of aging and age-related diseases to ultimately identify new therapeutic strategies.
