Project: Uzita (Central Tunesia): casestudy for the characterisation of a city and its inhabitants on the transition from the late Punic to the Roman era

This research project aims at an analysis of the architecture (house planning and mosaic floors) an of the archaeological material in three Roman peristyliumhouses and their late Punic predecessors excavated at Uzita (Central Tunisia). Goal of this project is a dating for the different occupational phases of the three houses and a qualitative analysis of architecture and archaeological material. The data from this analysis will be used to answer a set of specific questions concerning the antique Uzitanian population.
