Project: Effect of mild preservation method on the induction of stress resistance and increased cirulence of Listeria monocytogenes

Recently, scientists have become awared that by applying mild preservation methods foor food preservation, surviving bacteria could show an increased stress resistence and virulence. By this, a selection could occur for highly virulent and resistant food pathogens in foods and production environments. This research investigates the above mentioned phenomena for Listeria monocytogenes.
