Project: sequence design in magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging

In this project, the sequences that control the magnetic resonance scanner will be optimized for diffusion tensor imaging. The influence that the acquisition speed, signal-to-noise ratio, magnetic susceptibility artifacts, motion artifacts en geometric distortion have on the diffusion tensor will be studied. The advantage that ultra-fast sequences such as spiral imaging can offer to this domain will be investigated
