Project: Extra-embyonic coatings in equine embryos: identification of genes involved in capsule formation
- project duration
- 01-OCT-06 – 30-SEP-10
- In vitro produced horse embryos are of inferior quality because they display an inadequate formation of an important extra-embryonic coating, the capsule, which is composed of glycoproteins. In our research we want to evaluate differences in gene expression between horse embryos with and without capsule. Culture conditions will be optimized in order to induce adequate capsule formation in horse embryos in vitro.
