Project: Multilingualism in Secondary Education in Flanders: The Dynamics of Language Policy

Abstract
The language policy in many schools prohibits the use of the home language, despite this ban many students still use their home language. Through observations and interviews, teachers' and principals views on this language policy and their language beliefs are identified. The impact of a Functional Multilingual Learning (FML) coaching programme on teachers' practices and beliefs is identified and mapped.
