Project: In vivo analysis of the protective immune response against Chlamydia trachomatis candidate vaccine antigens identified using genomics
- project duration
- 01-JAN-04 – 31-OCT-06
- The purpose of the present study is de validation of a recently developed pig model for the evaluation of the protective immune response against Chlamydia trachomatis. Therefore, additionale immunological tests will be developed in order to use them for the evaluation of the humoral and cellular immune response following chlamydia vaccination and challenge. Additionally, one gene encoding a promising candidate vaccine antigen recently identified using genomics will be used for the construction of a DNA vaccine.
