Project: Modulation of plant cell division and differentiation through the manipulation of E2F-responsive genes

2003-01-01 – 2005-03-31

Abstract

Recent results obtained in our laboratory illustrated the importance of E2F-modulated genes in the control of plant cell divisionand differentiation. It is the aim of this research proposal to study this link in more detail by modification of activity of the recently identified class of novel E2F proteins, called DELs. In order to obtain a general view on the role of DELs in plants experiments will be conducted in both mono- and dicotyledenous plants.
