Project: In vitro regerenarion of coenzymes.
- project duration
- 01-OCT-02 – 30-SEP-04
- To accomplish the synthesis of chiral compounds often nog only an enzyme is needed as catalyst, but in addition a low molecular wieght coenzyme, such as NAD(P)(H), which participates in the reaction. Since NAD(P)(H) are rather labile molecules they are quite expensive. So they can't be used in soichiometric amounts. An effective coenzyme regeneration is needed to make the process economically viable.
