- This research project has three goals: 1) Developing reliable structural, stochastic and analytic models for (3D) FPGA-architectures. 2) Finding out if the architectural 'elevation' of (opto-electronic) FPGAs to the register/transfer level could expose additional advantages coming from the use of optical interconnections. 3) Extending the existing GART FPGA evaluation tools to make accurate simulation experiments for stochastic modeling possible.
