Project: A unifying framework for a stochastic thermodynamic theory of watershed hydrology: Model development and applicability study.

The basic aim of this study is to define a general stochastic framework describing the response of hydrologic systems which is applicable directly at the spatial scale of a watershed. The approach adopted is based on the subdivision of the watershed into small units called Representative Elementary Watersheds (REWs). The system properties are considered as random stochastic functions and the stochastic conservation equations are formulated for these REWs.
