Project: Influence of hemodynamic shock on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of anesthetics and major analgesics in an animal model.
- project duration
- 01-MAY-96 – 31-DEC-99
- Hemodynamic shock may induce changes in the pharmacokinetics of anesthetics and major analgesics. These changes may lead to altered effects of the drugs. These effects will be studied with the use of electroencephalography in the rat during shock and the correlation between the plasma concentrations and the effects of the drugs will be investigated (i.e. pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamic modelling).
