Project: In vitro cell differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells.

project duration
01-JAN-01 – 31-OCT-03
Embryonic stem cells are undifferentiated cells derived that can diffrentiate into any body tissue cell type. Transplantation of embryonic stem cells can find medical application in cell therapy by injection of healthy embryonic stem cells to replace unhealthy or dead cells in damaged tissues. Moreover patient identical stem cells can be developed by transfer of somatic cell nuclei into a donor oocyte preventing rejection. The factors influencing nuclear transfer, isolation and differentiation of embryronic stem cells to germ cells will be investigated in the model of mouse nuclear transfer embryos.
