Project: Effect of ionizing radiation on genome and cytoskelet organization on in vitro cultured bone marrow cells.

- The effect of high and low doses of ionizing radiation on hemopoietic cells will be studies with confocal microscopy and advanced molecular cytological techniques. the cytoplasmic nuclear relation will be analyzed and the distribution of the chromosomes in the interfase nucleus will be studied with fluorescent in situ hybridization. The relation between cytoskeletal elements (actin, intermediate filaments, tubulines) in the cytoplasm and the nuclear membrane will be quentified to test the hypothesis if a physico chemical changes induced by ionizing radiation can regulate cell development.
