2001-01-01 – 2005-10-31

Abstract

Parallel with a current Flemish research project, a peer tutoring experiment is organized in Beijing (China). PT involves one student assisiting another student in doing a learning assignment (reading), within a stable relationship. Tutors are trained in how to be a tutor and in using reading strategies. For 1200 2nd and 5th graders evolution in reading, self-concept, social relations and perceptions of classroom climate is assessed.
