- Veterinary Surgeon since 1983, degree obtained at Ghent University. From 1983-1985: specialization equine orthopedics at the University of Liverpool. 1985: certificate in veterinary radiology (UK). 1985-1991: assistant department of large animal surgery, Ughent. Equine orthopedics: diagnostics and arthroscopy. 1991-2001: equine referral practice: orthopedics: diagnostics and surgery. 2001-till now: veterinary nuclear medicine at Ughent as clinical professor. 2002: PhD: "Functional brain imaging in the dog. SPECT as a research and clinical tool for the investigation of canine brain physiology and pathophysiology". Current personal research focus on functional brain imaging in cats and dogs. Additional research focus on renal scintigraphy, thyroid disease and bone scintigraphy.
