In July 2015, I obtained my degree "Master of Science in Biology" Summa cum laude at Ghent University. During my study I specialized myself in plant biotechnology and molecular biology. Moreover, I gained experience in scientific communication (writing, reading, presentations, ...), next to technical expertise in plant molecular biology (during my thesis). Hopefylly, those skills will help me during my PhD in plant science partly performed at Ghent University Global Campus in South-Korea and the department of Plant Systems Biology (PSB) at the VIB in Ghent.
Science in general, debates and its impact on society, as well in history as in the future is what keeps me at work. Improving the world of today starts with some simple people somewhere in a field or lab following their passion, their ambition... I want to be one of them, this is my goal during this PhD.

Nature, wild-life, photography, hunting, ... are some of my other interests. But also leadership, organizing and management skills are things I like to do.
