- PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, and in Electromechanical Engineering from Ghent University (UGent), Belgium, through a joint-PhD doctoral program. Specialized in tribology, industrial metrology, vision systems, failure analysis of mechanical components, data analysis, and programming (Python & MATLAB). His doctoral thesis combined three areas of knowledge: wear, surface topography, and machine learning, to develop a model capable of classifying wear failure modes of metallic contacts. He has been engaged in Research and Development (R&D) activities since 2012, focusing on the development of equipment and mehtodologies for experimental testing, including the control and instrumentation of electromechanical systems.
