Duvan Cardona Sanchez (Cali, Colombia, 1992) is a member of the Ghent Analysis and PDE Center (Belgium). He did his thesis: Contributions to the theory of pseudo-differential operators: from compact to graded Lie groups under the supervision of Michael Ruzhansky (May 2019- May 2023). He is an active member of the Belgian Mathematical Society since 2020, Life Member of the ISAAC (International Society for Analysis its Applications and Computations) since 2021, and member of the Scientific Council for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Colombia from 2020. Education & Impact: His fields of expertise include harmonic analysis, pseudo-differential operators, Fourier integral operators, and their applications to PDE. He has written around 75 papers with the major part of them published in top journals (between them one can mention his published papers in Mathematische Zeitschrift, The Journal of Geometric Analysis, J. Evol. Equations, Nonlinear Analysis, Comptes Rendus Mathématique, J. Fourier Analysis and its Applications, Math. Nachrichten, among others). His scientific impact according to Google Scholar is h-Index: =12, i-Index: 18, with around 390 citations. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the Universidad del Valle (en Cali-Colombia), between 2008-2013, he holds the position of Adjoint Instructor at Universidad de Los Andes, and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana between 2015 and 2018 and in 2019, he started his PhD at the Ghent Analysis and PDE Center (with around 40 publications before starting his doctoral program). Duvan will finish his doctoral program in May 2023. In Colombia, he was awarded the Honorable Mention of the Yu-Takeuchi Prize 2018, a prize awarded by the Colombian Mathematical Society and because of this achievement, he was integrated as a member of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Colombia in 2020 as Young Researcher. He has participated given around 40 invited talks at international congresses and seminars (with international participants from Europe, the USA, and Latin America). He was co-founder of the Ghent Geometric Analysis Seminar in 2022, the Ghent Methusalem Junior Seminar in 2021 and he has co-organised several workshops and conferences during his career. The more significant has been the ICMAM 2022 Latin America, where he was named President of the Scientific Board (2022-2024), the London-Ghent microlocal analysis workshop (organised in cooperation between the Ghent University and the Imperial College of Science and Technology), and two international conferences of pseudo-differential operators and non-commutative harmonic analysis in 2020 for the Ghent Analysis and PDE Center.
